June 4 – St. Francis Caracciolo: Apostle of Eucharistic Adoration

On June 4, the church commemorates St. Francis Caracciolo , who was born in Naples in 1563. As a young man, seriously ill, he vowed a life of complete devotion to God—and after a miraculous healing, he became a priest. He was a co-founder of the Order of the Minorites Regular, which was particularly dedicated to the Eucharist and serving the poor and sick. Francis lived a life of ascetic austerity, combining contemplative depth with active charity, and was venerated even during his lifetime for his humility and love of the Blessed Sacrament. He was canonized by Pope Pius VII in 1807.

He is considered the patron saint of Eucharistic congresses and Italian chefs.
