The Kostner nativity scene is one of the largest and most remarkable nativity scenes of its kind, with over 120 different figures and animals in various sizes and designs. They are made from local sycamore wood for figures up to 30 cm in size and from lime wood for larger figures from 48 cm.
The nativity figures are available in a variety of sizes including 8cm, 9.5cm, 12cm, 16cm, 20cm, 25cm, 30cm, 48cm, 75cm, 90cm, 120cm and an impressive 150cm. What's new is that the Kostner nativity scene is now also available in the Val Gardena wood carving shop Gebrüder Grossrubatscher, which expands its availability.
This handicraft from the Dolomites tells a story with every carved detail and radiates the warmth of the Christmas season.
